About Us
Equitable Value LLC was founded by Scott M. DeMarco to provide clients and courts with highly credible financial expert opinions in cost effective manners.
Scott has been qualified and appointed by courts as an expert witness, and his opinions have been adopted by the court system. He also draws upon his experience working in early stage technology companies and hundreds of business appraisals to accelerate an organization's value creation based upon innovative management, marketing, and technology solutions. His curriculum vitae includes a list of speaking engagements and publications.
He is a Certified Business Appraiser accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers, Certified Valuation Analyst accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst accredited by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, and Certified Patent Valuation Analyst. He has been involved in the valuation of privately held business enterprises, professional and medical practices, professional licenses, advanced academic degrees, economic damage analysis, and real estate holding companies.
Scott is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York, Licensing Executives Society (LES), Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District (CDACD), and New York Association of Collaborative Professionals.
He gained finance, accounting, and marketing experience growing and selling two software companies, AutoQuant Imaging, Inc. and Agora Games, Inc. He helped grow AutoQuant Imaging, Inc., and assisted in the sale of the majority of the company’s assets to a major player in the life science imaging research industry. As Chief Financial Officer at Agora Games, Inc., Scott helped profitably grow and sell the company to Major League Gaming (MLG).
He received his bachelor of science in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and an MBA in Information Technology from the State University of New York at Albany.

Emily Chambers
Financial Analyst Emily Chambers earned her Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Massachusetts and her BA in Philosophy from Stonehill College. She holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). She served as a Financial Management Technician in the U.S. Army, earning the Army Achievement Medal during her training at the U.S. Army Financial Management School in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Before joining Equitable Value, Emily worked in state and municipal public finance, specializing in the management of and accounting for State and Federal grants. She performs valuation and financial analyses for a variety of purposes, including marital proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, and other litigation.
Joyce Hoon
Ching Luan (Joyce) Hoon is a project manager in Valuation. She earned the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation and Certified Cryptocurrency Auditor (CCA), and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has many years of valuation, financial analysis and due diligence experience in the areas of cross-border and U.S. mergers and acquisitions, and private and public financings.
In her previous role as Director of M&A (Finance) for Global Crossing Limited and in earlier roles in investment holding companies in Singapore, she evaluated acquisition candidates, managed direct investments and divestitures and participated in transactions to raise capital for investments.
Joyce performs valuation and financial analyses for a variety of circumstances including marital proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, and other litigation.
Ling Pu
Ling Pu is a project manager in Valuation. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (majored in Financial Analysis) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and is a graduate from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK). She has a wide-ranging background in finance and accounting including valuation, financial analysis, PE fund accounting and financial auditing. In her previous work at Censere Limited, she performed valuations of business interests, intellectual properties and derivatives for various circumstances.
Ling performs valuation and financial analyses for a variety of purposes including marital proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, and other litigations.
Zachary Stricker (Zach) is a valuation manager. He holds a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation and received his undergraduate degree in accounting and MBA from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Zach has over seven years of valuation experience, financial analysis, and general management consulting experience for a wide range of industries and client sizes.
In his previous role, Zach was a manager in the business consulting services group of a large CPA firm based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he managed both projects and staff and was exposed to a wide client base, ranging from one-man-shops to large enterprises.
Zach performs valuations and financial analysis for a wide variety of purposes including gifting and estate planning valuation, transaction advisory, general financial analysis, marital proceedings, and other litigation.
Katelyn Rice
Katelyn Rice is a manager in Divorce Accounting. She holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and earned a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University and a BA in Political Science from Emmanuel College in Boston.
Katelyn performs financial analyses and matrimonial account services for litigation and settlement purposes, including the development of net worth statements, asset tracing, separate property analyses, and lifestyle expense analyses.
Elsa-Marie Solomon
Litigation Support Specialist Elsa-Marie Solomon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with a minor in Political Science from Stetson University. Thereafter, Elsa-Marie began her legal career working as a family law paralegal at Greater Orlando Family Law firm. Before joining Equitable Value, her prior experience focused on contested and uncontested divorces, property division, alimony disputes, trial preparation, and prenuptial agreements.
Elsa-Marie performs financial analyses and matrimonial account services for litigation and settlement purposes, including the development of net worth statements, asset tracing, separate property analyses, and lifestyle expense analyses.
Tamara Wilson
Senior Financial Analyst Tamara Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colgate University and is admitted to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. She has 20 years of experience in corporate and public accounting. Her prior experience in corporate finance and business tax spans a variety of sectors including construction, manufacturing, and service industries.
Tamara performs forensic accounting and valuation services for a variety of purposes, including marital proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax filings, and other litigations.
Oliver Western is a seasoned valuation manager with over 15 years of diverse experience in the field. He is a CFA® charterholder, holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Finance from Tulane University.
Throughout his career, Oliver has specialized in valuing businesses, financial instruments, fund interests, and intellectual property across various industries, ownership structures, and lifecycle and liquidity stages. His previous roles have included positions in boutique consulting, public accounting advisory services, and major financial institutions.
